HCA NACTEP Program is pleased to announce 12 newly certified CPR/First Aid Responders.
Hydaburg Cooperative Association is in its third year of implementing a three-year grant from the United States Department of Education (US DoE) through the Native American Career and Technical Education Program (NACTEP). The program “focuses on developing a Career Technical Education (CTE) program with the goal of developing a skilled workforce for the community. Our recent CPR/First Course, taught by Earl Jeffery, was very successful with all attendees receiving CPR/First Aid Certificates. Among the course attendees were, President, Sidney Edenshaw and Vice President Benjamin Young. The youngest student to complete the training program was 15 years old. HCA NACTEP is planning to provide future courses to community members, with a focus on 14-35 year olds. Watch for flyers for future events.
